When I started Crywank I'd never played guitar before. I learnt two chords, wrote 'Welcome To Castle Irwell', 'Thomas Saunders Gangchant' and went from there. On my earliest recordings I embarrasingly americanized my voice to try and emulate my favourite musicians, and I'd record with different people through different devices (hence the different volume levels on this release). None of these songs where properly released so they've all been compiled here. They where all recorded between 2009-2012.

I first listened through this a couple years ago, and I don't know why I hadn't bought it until now. Regardless, I think everyone should listen through this in its entirety at least once, the best way I can describe it is beautifully haunting.
